Review & deepen your skills in sensing the cranial sacral rhythm through the cranium and whole body. New focus will be on learning the rhythm of the bones of the face, mouth, jaw and related soft tissues. Gain specificity about whether you are surfing with the osseous motion, dural layers or fluids. There will also be time to enhance your skills in prioritization & integration within a treatment session

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle hands on modality that is based on osteopathic philosophy that our body has an inherent drive and capacity towards health. Cranial Sacral Therapy invites our nervous system to deeply settle and highlights the subtle rhythms and life force within the body and whole person. Attunement to both resources and primary restrictions facilitates the body to ‘remember’ its innate and unique way to balance and release.

The anatomy that will be focused on in this workshop are the bones of the cranium, sacrum and pelvis, the dural membranes of the brain and spinal dura, the cerebrospinal fluid and the primary fascial diaphragms. There will be opportunity to explore the rhythms of each of these areas through listening, palpation and experiencing the dance in your own body. The intention is by the end of the three days you will have understanding and tools to offer a basic cranial sacral therapy session and develop trust in your gifts of attunement in knowing your next steps and pace required.

Who Should Attend?

• The main prerequisite is an ability to be present with yourself and to the person you are offering to.

• If you are already practicing in the physical sciences, cranial sacral therapy will deepen your experiential anatomy, hone your assessment skills and is easily integrated into many models of bodywork.
